A retired professor of art at University of Colorado for most of his career, he has exhibited widely (click here) and then tour his website. This piece has had a place in our home for a number of years.

In the artists own words "I was born in Madrid, Spain. My education in art was in England (Bath School of Art, Slade School of Art) and in the United States (University of Kentucky). I taught painting and drawing at the University of Texas from 1954 to 1961, and at the University of Colorado from 1961 to 1990.  My education was interrupted by World War II and my service in the British army for four years (two of them spent in India).

"After the war, I studied for one year at the Slade School of Art in London. I became interested in mural painting and public art, and I went to Mexico to study mural painting and experimental painting media at the Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico City. Since that time I have lived in the United States, both as a student and a teacher at the institutions mentioned above."
