Nancee Meeker

b. 1951
12.5" high x 5.5" diam
1978

When the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York held their first exhibit of American Post War Studio pottery, Meeker was one of the six artists chosen. Her extraordinary work is in many major museums and collections. Critic Stuart Klein has said of her: "If New York was a state that declared select artists and artisans ‘Intangible Treasures,’ potter Nancee Meeker would undoubtedly be one of them. Her work, as stunning as it is subtle, demands it."

A few of her pieces are still available from the artist priced from $1600-2700. We also have two early white raku tea bowls available for $95 each and an early10,5" high white raku vase with a narrow neck available for $275, as well as a pit fired 12.5" high geometric series vase for $900.

Price: $1,900.00
